The Steinbuck is found in the southern and eastern savanna of Africa. They prefer open areas, but they require cover nearby Steinbucks are never found in wooded or broken areas. The steinbuck is a small antelope The length of its head and body ranges from 70 - 95 cm. The shoulder height varies from 45 - 60 cm. The tail is very short, with a length of about 5 - 6 cm. Only males have horns of about 9 to 19 cm. The coloration of the steinbuck is a reddish-fawn colour, with a white throat and belly. The ears are large and are white lined.

The gray or common duiker is found in the Sub-Saharan region of Africa from Senegal to Ethiopia. This species of duiker is found in areas of central, eastern, and southern Africa which provide sufficient amounts of cover. They enjoy savannas, grasslands, and woodlands, while also living at high altitudes in mountainous regions. They can reach a mass of 12 to 25 kg, females weighing in at about 2 to 4 kg heavier. On average, they are 60 cm in height at the shoulder and are 100 cm in length. Males have horn like spikes reaching 7 to 18 cm. Females usually do not have horns, but occasionally they may have stunted horns. Mountain dwelling duikers have longer, thicker coats than duikers living in savannas, forests, and grasslands.

The very sharp horns render the Bushbuck very dangerous when wounded. A close relative of the Kudu and the Nyala. The rams are very elegant in appearance, sporting dark greyish-brown fur, with white spots on the flanks and prominent white socks. In height they are 700mm at the shoulders, and have a maximum mass of 54 Kg's. Ewes are smaller and adult ewes are lighter in colour than rams, with more pronounced white spots and stripes.

Kudu are spiral horned antelopes. The horns on males can grow up to 6
feet (181 cm) and are used to wrestle with other bulls. Enemies
are the lion, cape hunting dog, leopard and cheetah. Weight: Male,
495-787 lbs. (225-315 kg), Female, 396-517 lbs. (180-235)
